Andrew & Terryn Hickinbotham
Hickinbotham of Dromana

"Hickinbotham's is part of something much bigger - the community. That’s why we help."

The Hickinbotham family has been making wine for three generations in Australia.

Andrew Hickinbotham has made his mark in cool climate grape production. The Dromana vineyards are planted with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet, Shiraz, Merlot and Taminga.

Andrew and Terryn have a strong sense of community and have been involved in a wide range of activities which support the Mornington Peninsula community.

Each Easter Hickinbotham's host a family fun day at the winery with all proceeds going to a nominated local group involved in the health and welfare of the community. At Christmas time the proceeds of Carols in the Vinelight also go to a local charity.

Another community project in which the Hickinbothams are involved is Waste Wise sustainable winemaking, with 95% of waste generated on the site recycled and re-used, either through the recycling system or back onto the vineyard.

Currently Hickinbotham's is supporting a project that aims to develop the performing skills of young musicians on the Mornington Peninsula. The project involves young musicians being tutored by experienced performers in workshops at Hickinbotham's. The young participants will then be provided with employment opportunities at Peninsula wineries and restaurants.
